Oatmeal, is there any more warming breakfast treat? I like mine with raisins, an apple, brown sugar, walnuts, and a bit of cold milk. How do you top your oats? No really, I want to know! A girl can only eat the same thing a certain number of days in a row.

banana slices, walnuts or pecans and lots of soy milk.. delish! (maple syrup or brown sugar make their way in too when the sweet tooth kicks in)

You are much too complicated with your eats. I open two packets of Quaker Apple and Cinnamon Instant Oatmeal, dump it in a bowl, add tap water, nuke, and eat. Done and done.

oh, and when in lithuania i was served oatmeal with a pool of melting butter and blob sour cherry jam. it was earth-shatteringly delicious.

mmmmm oatmeal :) I'm like you, chopped apples & raisins, nuts occasionally- this topping combo is also awesome on cottage cheese (which must be eaten on the sly, it makes Mike sick just looking at cottage cheese :( ) I've been buying instant oatmeal in the fruit & cream variety for the ease of Donovan's morning, but we both hated the bananas & cream version. Ewww. Better off taking the time & effort, it's worth it. A little more time & effort & you're eating oatmeal cookies!!!! Now we're getting somewhere!

Your oatmeal looks wonderful! I like to put pumpkin in mine during the fall with warm spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves. Mmmm....

Pumpkin butter and half and half. I don't know what my better half would choose but I suspect it would be liquid smoke! ;0)

Everything everyone else said PLUS sprinkle some ground flax seed, nutty and goood for you. Also any dried fruit, apricots, pineapple, cranberry. Not all at once, only if you must. Zap it or cook it. Every day, why not?
