Just Like Christmas Morning

Lets get swapy! Here is the apron that I made for the lovely Ms. Sarah of Geek+Nerd. I had a super time picking out all the goodies to go on it and even got to drag the hubby to the fabric district. (Hooray!) Below are the recipe cards that I made. I had a printable design all ready to go but computer and I sometimes have "issues" so I had to go old school. Thank you glitter glue and wrapping paper, you saved my hinny again!

Isn't there something in the bible about giving and then receiving ten fold? (sevenfold?) People this has happened to me! Little did I know that when I signed up the the apronswap that I would come mailbox to mailbox with THE GREATEST SWAPPER OF ALL TIME. Sure I was excited, but I HAD NO IDEA a monsoon of apron goodness would soon arrive at my doorstep. Here the lovely items that Ms. Mary Ann so kindly sent. (Great news for you, she even has an online store where you can purchase all manner of delightful goods.) Each item was hand wrapped and tied with a satin ribbon bow! I was having a swell time opening all of the packages when I saw this...............
This is when I started to get REALLY EXCITED (like jumping up and down, make the downstairs neighbors wonder if you are being murdered excited) because I ADORE ball fringe. I love the way it looks, I love to say it (sounds a little dirty, hee hee) and I love to type it (ballfringeballfringeballfringe). Ms. Mary Ann somehow read my mind and picked out exactly what I would have chosen for myself. (Which is the highest compliment that I can give because as my poor mother knows well, I have very specific taste). Here is a picture of all the ADORABLE items that I was sent. These gloves are SO beautiful! They fit......well they fit like a glove. A glove that was given to me by a perfect stranger which somehow seemed to be made for my hand.
You can tell when I like something because I immediately put it to use. Please note that I am wearing TWO fabulous aprons in this picture. I was so afraid that someone would come to the door when I was prancing around the house in this getup and now here I am posting a picture for all to see. At least it probably makes sense to you lovable apron swapping folks!

Hey, I have never swapped an apron in my life and it still makes perfect sense to me! You get cool aprons and gloves in the mail... you immediately put them all on and run around the house! Then you photograph yourself and blog about it. Any one of us would have done the same!

Oh boy! Reading this post made me gleeful, gleeful, gleeful (but not as gleeful as you when you say ballfringe, ballfringe, ballfringe - hee hee)! I have to admit that I was scared to death that something might not be quite right. But I have been stalking you via blog for a long time now and had kinda gotten a "feel" for your funkiness. It must be a disease, because I have the same taste in funk. You look ADORABLE and I'm so glad that I am such a genius-head. HA!

I knew that I liked you Steven! :)

Thanks Jennifer! I saw that you received some ball fringe as well!

MP go to apronswap.blogspot.com You have to have a blog to participate, which is perfect because I would love to read about more of your culinary adventures! (I recently stopped making the bed everyday, gives me more time to have "a life".)

Maryanne thank you SO SO much for everything! You rock!

Jane, I found the fabric at Michael Levine's in downtown Los Angeles. The fabric is a part of The Alexander Henry Fabrics Collection 2006 and is called "here comes santa claus".
