Just Delicious

Here is a friendly little dessert that is happy to cozy up with peaches, plums, or nectarines. And when summer's fruits have gone astray, apples and pears taste peachy keen. Quicker than cobbler, tasty as pastry, it's......well I don't have a name for this dish. Let's just call it delicious!

Delicious (Serves 2)*
Adapted from many nights alone in the kitchen 1998
2 Tblsp butter
1 piece of fruit cut into thin slices
2 Tbsp booze (Rum or brandy work dandy!)
1 Tblsp brown sugar (You may need more, if you like things super sweet)
handful of chopped nuts
ice cream or cake

Melt butter in small saucepan over medium low heat. Add fruit and booze to the pan and cook 5-10 minutes until the fruit is as soft as you'd like it. Stir in sugar and nuts and let everything cook into one sweet syrupy mess. Serve over ice cream or cake. Enjoy!

*Can be eaten by one person in one sitting but it takes dedication of spoon and spirit.

Hi! Thanks for leaving the comment on my blog! Wow, this looks so yummy. I love fruit dessert and this looks perfect. Your kitchen (and it looks like your whole house) is to die for! So beautiful, I'm so jealous.

I love adding booze to recipes. It seems less sinful somehow to add it to food instead of ingesting it directly!
