A Place to Rest your Bread

If you live in a temperate climate I can think of no better way to store bread than the ever useful cake plate. Even the humble hot dog bun looks lovely when housed in one of these delightful domes. Unfortunately, during the hottest summer months I am forced to choose between bread's two enemies, mold and stale. I usually choose stale. My bread's summer home is the refrigerator, where it longs for cool spring days and scenic counter views.
So Jack, don't keep your bread in a sack, a cake plate is it's fair weather friend!
